The CSMS Photography Group is dedicated to capturing the intricate beauty and natural artistry of gems, minerals, rocks, and crystals through photography. All who are interested in creating interesting and stunning images that showcase the splendors of the geological world are encouraged to join. Whether professional or beginner this is your opportunity for growth and inspiration with fellow rock and mineral enthusiasts.
Meetings are at least once a month, and can include guest speakers, educational lessons, photography sessions, constructive feedback, and on-site photography field trips. Members are invited to bring photos to share, photography gear to use and share, and specimens to photograph.
Members are advised to sign up for the Photography Group email distribution list; this will ensure everyone is informed about any venue changes, special guests to welcome, field trips to prepare for, and receive additional information about meeting specifics. To sign up to be included in the distribution list, email Fran Anderson at whenearthspeaks@gmail.com.
Fran Anderson leads the Photography Group, which generally meets on the second Monday of the month at Fire Station 20, 6755 Rangewood Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80918, at 6:30 pm. Occasionally, the venue changes; please check the calendar or your latest email to confirm.
